What is the goal?

With the introduction of Clustermarket, the Ruhr-Universität Bochum aims to provide its researchers, teaching staff, and students with an intuitive tool that allows easy access to a wide range of research equipment in order to
‍
1) promote sustainable resource use by sharing available capacity, especially with regard to the existing major instrumentation at the Ruhr-Universität,

2) improve operational efficiency with significant time and resource savings by simplifying booking processes, supporting user communication and incident and maintenance management,

3) actively promote interdisciplinary research initiatives, especially within the UA Ruhr, by acting as a central hub for sharing equipment and resources.

How does it work

All members of the University are entitled to a Clustermarket account, which allows them to search and book equipment available across the University.

Access to specific equipment may be restricted to certain faculties or research groups. To get access, please contact the lab manager and request an invitation.
