What is the goal?

Through the implementation of Clustermarket, the University of Duisburg-Essen anticipates offering its faculties, researchers, and students an intuitive interface, expediting access to a diverse range of research equipment.

1) The refined equipment booking process and centralized management system enhance operational efficiency, resulting in significant time and resource savings.

2) Faculty, researchers, and students stand to gain from a user-friendly platform that simplifies and accelerates access to an extensive array of research equipment, thereby cultivating a collaborative and dynamic research environment.

3) The platform actively promotes collaboration by serving as a centralized hub for equipment sharing and resource utilization, nurturing interdisciplinary research initiatives.

How does it work

All university members have the privilege of obtaining a Clustermarket account, enabling them to search and book equipment available across the university. Specific equipment access may be confined to particular faculties, or research groups.

To acquire your account, login via SSO with your Uni-Account. Next, locate your lab (chair/group) and request access. The lab manager must approve your request. Alternatively, lab managers can also invite new users.

If you want to set up a new lab on Clustermarket, reach out to the Clustermarket support team or the Clustermarket contact person for the faculty.
