This webinar will provide insights in current activities and possible future direction of Persistent Identification for instruments.
In this webinar, we will discuss Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) and their importance in research and sciences.
We will have Markus Stocker and Rolf Krahl joining us to discuss the work of the RDA Persistent Identification of Instruments Working Group and what they did to put PIDs into practice.
This interactive webinar will also showcase the integrations between different tools to collect laboratory data, reviewing the Clustermarket and RSpace integration.
Lastly, Rory Macneil and Vaida Plankyte will discuss the importance of incorporating PIDs for instruments into research workflows and discuss the future potential.
Markus is Head of the Knowledge Infrastructures Research Group at the TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, co-leads the Open Research Knowledge Graph project and is co-chair of the RDA Persistent Identification of Instruments WG.
Rolf is responsible for setting up and managing the institutional data repository and metadata catalog for Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie. This task also includes creating Persistent Identifiers for Datasets, Instruments, and Samples. He is co-chair of the RDA Persistent Identification of Instruments WG.
